Korea: The Act on Registration and Evaluation, etc. of Chemical Substances (K-REACH)

Since the amendment of The Act on Registration and Evaluation, etc. of Chemical Substances (K-REACH) all non-exempt chemical substances including polymers and stabilizers with annual import or manufacturing volume above 1 ton per year require a prenotification, registration or application for exemption by July 1st, 2019.

All legal entities that import chemical products into South Korea (“importers of record”) are responsible to fulfill the obligations of K-REACH. These obligations can also be agreed to be fulfilled by an appointed Only Representative (OR). By making use of this service all your (pre-)registration obligations for the BASF product are handled by the OR and you can focus on business.
