Our plant for highly reactive polyisobutene in Nanjing is operated within the joint venture between BASF and SINOPEC under the legal entity BASF-YPC Company Limited. The plant has a capacity of 50,000 metric tons per year. The produced HR-PIB grades serve as essential building blocks on the manufacture of fuel and lubricant additives (e.g., detergents and dispersants). Beyond that, the manufactured V-Types polyisobutene portfolio has specifically been designed to meet the demanding requirements of the lubricant industry.
