Battery and Fuel Cell Coolants
While traditional GLYSANTIN® products used in ICE are also suitable for hybrid technologies and indirectly cooled BEV, new dedicated products for FCEV and BEV (direct and indirect cooling) have been developed. GLYSANTIN® FC G20® ELECTRIFIED® is a coolant especially developed for FCEV with a low electrical conductivity. Compared to noninhibited glycol/water mixtures, the product maintains constant low electrical conductivity, securing corrosion protection and the electrical safety of the system. GLYSANTIN® G22® ELECTRIFIED® is BASF's first premium engine coolant developed specifically for indirectly cooled BEV. The ready-to-use coolant delivers a low electrical conductivity and maintains low and stable currents when exposed to a voltage source. This translates into low fluid decomposition and low generation of hydrogen, making it a safety optimized product, while ensuring optimal corrosion protection.
Engine Coolants
GLYSANTIN® is much more than just an antifreeze. The premium engine coolant from BASF provides threefold protection from corrosion, overheating and frost. GLYSANTIN® coolants ensure that the cooling system works perfectly all year round. Products are available for all types of vehicle and all types of engine.
Fuel Additives
KEROPUR® multifunctional fuel performance packages help keep engines clean and protect the entire fuel system. The portfolio includes gasoline and diesel performance packages for maximum engine cleanliness, better fuel economy, lower emissions and optimal driving experience.
Axle Lubricants
EMGARD® axle lubricants provide measurable fuel savings, maximum component life and reduced used oil disposal.
Brake Fluids
BASF was the first company to develop a low viscosity DOT 4 brake fluid, specifically for modern braking systems with electronic control systems such as ESP/DSC, ABS and ASC. Together in partnership with both, automobile manufactures and OEM suppliers and as a member of the industry standards association we continue to develop and improve HYDRAULAN® brake fluids to meet both the current and future needs of the industry, and maintain the highest safety requirements demanded by customers.
Transmission Lubricants
EMGARD® transmission lubricants allow for longer maintenance intervals and reduced oil usage as well as less downtime and considerably lower operating costs.
Engine Lubricants
Wouldn’t it be nice to gain extra fuel economy, horsepower and acceleration together with an alternative approach to engine oil additives? IRGALUBE® FE1 is a liquid, ashless oil additive that works in internal combustion engines to maximize these driving features in real vehicles.
