Why is BASF‘s polyisobutene called OPPANOL® ?
First polyisobutenes were produced by BASF in Germany's Ludwigshafen-Oppau in 1931. Introduction to market was consequently conducted under the tradename of OPPANOL®. By today, the brand spans a broad range of grades which are pure isobutene homopolymers and highly suitable for use in various applications in a broad range of industries.
